A sports fan community wanted an experience stickier than static content — a way for fans to actually engage with the personality of a legendary player.
The challenge was making the interaction feel authentic and staying in character across a whole conversation, while capturing fan sign-ups and engagement analytics as a real product, not a gimmick.
Our Solution
We built and deployed a persona-AI chatbot that lets fans hold a natural conversation with a baseball legend — in character.
A believable persona
The character's voice, humour, and biography are established through a rich guided briefing, and the running conversation is threaded back into every reply so the persona stays consistent and remembers what's been said.
Extensible by design
The app is keyed by player, so new legends can be added as data — each with their own personality and avatar — without touching the code.
A complete product
It ships as a full web application: fan registration and login with securely hashed credentials, a branded chat interface, engagement analytics, database migrations, and production deployment with HTTPS.
Outcome
Fans converse with a beloved sports legend who stays in character and remembers the conversation — an engaging, on-brand experience delivered as a real, deployed product with accounts and analytics, and an architecture ready to add more personas as data.
